According to the Queens District Attorney's Office, the unidentified dognapper has been charged with criminal possession of a weapon, petit larceny and other crimes related to gun theft.

Officials said the suspect approached a 15-year-old who was walking his French bulldog named Six outside the Queensborough Houses in Long Island City around 9 a.m. and pointed a gun at him.

The suspect then shoved a gun into the boy's chest and told him he had five seconds to run.

The terrified boy dropped his dog's leash and ran away, prosecutors said.

The startled victim managed to call the police and NYPD Housing Unit police began their search of the area.

About 15 minutes later, an NYPD officer spotted the kidnapper with the dog a short distance from where the theft had occurred.

He was held on $20,000 bail after a brief arraignment in Queens Criminal Court.

The Public Prosecution Service said in a rack: 'Pulling a gun in broad daylight to steal a dog and then casually taking the animal for a walk is a kind of dangerous brutality that we will not tolerate under any circumstances.

“The suspect will have to answer for the charges against him.”

According to the Public Prosecution Service, the dog beater will appear in court on January 9.
