“I went down the hall to check the rooms to make sure you weren’t hiding in there, but they were empty… silent… I went where you were last and just stood there in disbelief… what was it like with my little sister? ? I was just talking to her.

‘This is definitely not real life. It’s not real. Begging God to return you to us. I saw the shirt you were wearing and I held it so tight, I smelled it as long as I just stood there empty and broken and finally gave myself a moment to fall apart knowing the kids were okay and I was alone. I will hold that shirt close to my heart forever.

“We’re going to make sure these babies are OK. Your memory will not fade over time. It will live on in every moment of every day.”
