Ex-NRL star Cooper Johns reveals the shock reason his girlfriend has stopped having sex with him after he retired from professional sport

NRL star Cooper Johns has made the shocking admission that his girlfriend has not had sex with him since he retired from professional sport last year.

The former Manly Sea Eagles player, 24, made the confession on The Kyle and Jackie O Show, telling the hosts that his partner Kenna Hullick was not keen on getting intimate.

“I asked her to come over here and give me a good rogering and she said, ‘uh, no,’” Cooper told the hosts.

Kyle, 52, then called Kenna on the phone to get her side of the story and asked her if she was abstaining from sex because Cooper had retired from the NRL.

Kenna said it wasn’t because he had left the league, but that he was now out of shape after hanging up his football boots.

‘I wouldn’t say that, I talked to him about his new love handles, which is his nickname. We last had sex a week ago,” she said.

Cooper then joked that his girlfriend had better get used to his new lifestyle as a radio star and promised she would give it a try.

Cooper is the son of Rugby League legend Matthew ‘Matty’ Johns, 52.

Last month, Matty sent Kyle a warning after son Cooper announced he would retire from the NRL to pursue a career in radio with KIIS FM.

Cooper was not re-signed by the Manly Sea Eagles at the end of the 2023 season and has decided to put his boots aside for the time being.

When The Kyle and Jackie O Show returned to the air in January, Jackie asked Kyle why Cooper had his own desk in their studio.

“We’re not sure what he does yet, but we just secured his services,” Kyle replied.

“The reason we got Coops is because I thought he was really, really good. We were paranoid and thought ‘we have to get this man to safety’.”

Kyle then revealed the conversation he had with Cooper’s ex-NRL star dad Matty.

“His dad was on the phone saying, ‘Don’t let my son get screwed. Do you really want him to stop playing football? It’s got to be worth it,'” Kyle said.
