Tammy Slaton has revealed that she can now walk unassisted without oxygen after losing her impressive 300lb weight in a new video.
The 36-year-old from Kentucky, who first rose to fame in early 2020 when she starred alongside her sister Amy on the TLC reality series 1000-lb Sisters, surprised her doctor, Dr. Eric Smith, in a sweet video shared on Instagram.
Tammy has taken to social media to update her fans on her weight loss progress and health improvements since her time on the show, with the latest clip revealing that she doesn’t have to rely on oxygen when she walks.
The footage shows the super-slim man walking down a hallway, encouraged by Dr. Smith.
Impressed, viewers also praised Tammy for her efforts and congratulated her on the milestone in the comments.

Fans congratulated 1000lbs Sisters’ Tammy on her dramatic health improvement and new milestone
The video was originally shared by Dr. Smith, who said it was “the best birthday surprise” to see Tammy walking alone.
The TLC star walked down a hallway unassisted, with a wide grin on her face, wearing a floral dress with tights and a gray sweater.
“Something is missing,” she said proudly, referring to the walker she had relied on until now.
Enthusiastic doctors could be heard shouting, “Look!” and “That’s great,” as Tammy walked down the hallway.
The reality TV star also wasn’t wearing her usual oxygen tube, showing she can now move around without the extra supply since her weight loss.
As a doctor noted that her oxygen tank was missing, Tammy proudly announced that she has not needed it for two weeks.
Reactions to the video were flooded with supportive fans.
Tammy, pictured in 2021, once weighed 717 pounds. Her own family thought she would be dead within five years
‘Walking alone? That’s fantastic,” said one.
‘Love this!!! Oh my god, Tammy looks sooo good,’ said another.
“Tammy, you look great,” gushed another.
“Seeing Tammy walk like that shows what a difference you make in people’s lives,” another wrote to Dr. Eric.
Tammy has made great strides on her weight loss journey and was spotted alone on a shopping trip in Indiana last month.
She was seen walking out of a gas station unassisted – without the aid of her usual stroller.
Tammy, who wore a shock of orange hair, put her hand on a car as she stepped off the curb.
She paused to shake her hand in apparent pain – as if she’d received a slight scolding from the hot hood.

The reality star, still using her oxygen tube, then ducked into a nearby Sam’s Club to get groceries.
There she resumed using a mobility scooter to get around both the parking lot and the store before clambering into the car using portable steps.
The reality star’s progress has been widely praised on social media, with dozens of users speaking out to congratulate Tammy on her transformation and health journey.
“Good job girl,” one person wrote – while another chimed in: “Congratulations, #TammySlaton on your massive weight loss. You look like a different person! Keep it up!’
A third Twitter user added, “We are soooo proud of you girl!!! I love you and I pray for you all the time… you are an inspiration to so many people… God bless this beautiful woman.”

Other supportive commenters expressed their “pride” at how far Tammy has come, with one writing, “I’m so happy for her,” while another simply said, “Well done!”
But being able to walk independently is a major achievement for a woman who once weighed 717 pounds and whose family believed she would be dead within five years.
She reportedly hit rock bottom in late 2021 when she was rushed to hospital after struggling to breathe.
Tammy had to get a tube down her throat to help her and spent three weeks on life support.
The health scare inspired the reality star to finally change her lifestyle and she enrolled herself in a food addiction program.
And as she turned over her new leaf, she also stopped smoking and drinking completely.
The final season of 1000-Lb Sisters gave viewers an inside look at the Ohio weight loss facility.
There, Tammy reached her weight loss goal — from 717 pounds to 534 pounds — and successfully qualified for bariatric surgery.
She said, “I feel excited, proud, excited — just all the emotions.” I proved everyone wrong.
“Anyone who doubted me, I finally got mine! My told-you-so moment!’
The weight loss transformation has also helped her find a new love, according to The Sun.
Tammy is reportedly dating 25-year-old Greg Morgan – just weeks after news hit the internet that she had split from her husband, Caleb Willingham.
She would have met her new man through a dating app.
A source told the outlet that they “hit it off right away” and that they’ve been “seeing each other for about a month now.”
“He’s visited her a few times. He’s taking a six-hour bus from Indianapolis to visit her in Kentucky,” they said.
