He is best known for his role as a teenage heartthrob in the hit 10 Things I Hate About You.
But Andrew Keegan now has a very different style from the slick schoolboy character Joey he played 25 years ago in the beloved high school comedy.
The American actor, 45, looked almost unrecognizable during an interview on Nine’s Today Extra on Wednesday.
The father-of-one showed off a five o’clock shadow and wore his thick black locks in a shorter cut. He discussed what it was like filming the movie with the late Heath Ledger.
Andrew said the pair were just 19 when they hit the blockbuster, which also launched the careers of Julia Stiles (The Bourne Identity) and Knives Out star Jospeh Gordon-Levitt.
“We were all relatively unknown and didn’t really know what we were getting into, but we knew something magical was happening and we really enjoyed that time together,” he said.

He also revealed that he became close to Ledger while filming the movie, which famously featured as a teen version of Shakespeare’s The Taming of the Shrew.
“There were no cell phones, you know, we just had to really hang out…,” he said.
He also revealed that after filming was completed, he accompanied Heath on a trip Down Under to visit his family in Perth.
‘[Heath’s family] actually had a kangaroo. They provided a Joey [a baby kangaroo].
“So I’m pretty sure everyone had a room in Australia,” he joked.
At one point, Andrew became visibly shaken as he remembered how he felt about the sudden loss of Heath, who died in 2008 at the age of 28.
“After the movie wrapped, we were a couple of unemployed actors,” he began.
“And we spent a lot of time the next year touring the Hollywood world, if you will, and… it’s kind of hard to talk about because it was such a huge loss, not just personally. [because of] everything he had to offer.”

“He was just so creative. And when you look back, you realize he was wiser beyond his years.”
“And once again we were all fortunate to have him with us as he shared his gifts as he did.”
After starring in 10 Things I Hate About You, Andrew next appeared in O and The Contract.
He also had a regular role on 7th Heaven as Wilson West.
In 2005, he returned to TV with Related and then appeared on CS:NY in 2010. In 2014, he collaborated with Ryan Guzman on April Rain.
Meanwhile, Andrew has also made headlines over the years with a string of high-profile romances.
In 1997 he was linked to Jennifer Love Hewitt. The following year, he began dating LeAnn Rimes, whom he dated for three years.
In 2001 he was in a relationship with Piper Perabo and from 2002 to 2003 Andrew was with Elisha Cuthbert.
Keegan started dating his current girlfriend Arista Ilona in 2013 and in 2016 they welcomed their first child together, daughter Aiya Rose.
